I can't find the new branch I made for the commit I made a pull request for

I forked a repository to my account so I could make changes to the readme file but now I can’t find the new branch I made for the commit I started a pull request for. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there. 👋

If you’ve started the pull request you should see the branch it’s pointing from in the header of the pull request page, kind of like this. :slightly_smiling_face:

If you click on the branch the changes are coming from, you’ll be taken directly to that branch.

If you’re having trouble finding the branch locally, try git branch or git branch -a, if it’s on your repository on GitHub enter /branches after your repository in the URL and that will take you to the branches overview page. :slightly_smiling_face:

Hope that was helpful. :+1:
