How to verify email if GitHub emails are blocked by school?


I’m trying to verify my school email to my account so that I can get the Student Developer Pack, but unfortunately, my school’s email servers block all external emails besides ones they’ve whitelisted, aka GitHub emails are blocked. I have the password to the account, and everything. Is there a possibility that I could take a picture of my email’s settings to prove that I am in possession of the email, or give my email’s password to a staff member?

You’ll need to reach out to private support or to for help with this question.   We can’t discuss specific account details in the public forum.  You’ll want to reach out to them using an email that allows you to receive their response to find out how they may be able to assist.



How long does the private support take to reply? Like, is the best option for me to contact the email or the private support?

Thank you again for your excitement towards the developer pack.

Unfortunately, it can take a little bit of time to receive a response from GitHub Support depending on the nature and severity of issue. We do our best to respond as quickly as possible to all tickets and are currently working on some efforts to allow us to shorten our average response time.  As this question is also referenced in a duplicate thread here, I’ll be closing this topic.
