How to label topics?

I’m new to GITHUB and I’ve been asked to label my topics, but I have no option to do that. No one is answering. Please help me. Thank you!

Do you mean Issues/PRs?
Or, something from the Discussions Beta?

Yes, issues, bugs, questions etc, everything available. I’m on a phone interface. I’m new to GITHUB.

@AdemSof i don’t understand what you mean

With a mobile browser you scroll down toward the bottom of the page and click “Desktop version”, then do it the same way you would on a desktop browser (it’s not terribly convenient, but that’s the only option I’m aware of).

With the GitHub app (on iOS anyway) you goto the issue or PR, flick up from the bottom, then click the “Edit” button for labels.

Thank you, I just don’t know how to put labels on the desktop either. I’ve never used github before.

What does this 5/5 mean?

5/5 means you’ve scrolled to message 5 of 5.

Here’s a screenshot of the desktop web UI for adding/changing labels:

I’m so sorry but there is nothing while creating a new issue or to add it to the current issue. No gear icons like you have them.

Also only way I can open the desktop view is if I do it through the chrome - three dots - desktop site

Then you don’t have sufficient permission in the repo to label things.

Sorry for any confusion, when I said Desktop I meant the standard browser experience (vs. the mobile browser interface). (Not GitHub Desktop the software package.)

Thank you for being so kind. Now I understand why.

Although I don’t understand this, but it’s ok: 1. With a mobile browser you scroll down toward the bottom of the page and click “Desktop version”, then do it the same way you would on a desktop browser (it’s not terribly convenient, but that’s the only option I’m aware of)
2. Sorry for any confusion, when I said Desktop I meant the standard browser experience (vs. the mobile browser interface). (Not GitHub desktop the software package.)

But it’s ok!
