Hello! I have one branch “master” and one branch “develop”, every time I made a push in my “develop” branch there was a green “compare & pull request” button in my “<>code” repository tab. But now this button is not being showed. I need to look in my /branches page to see if there is a branch ahead of master or not. How can i get this button back? And What I did to ti disappears?
Hi @Fraitz, I believe if you select your “develop’” branch on the “< > Code” tab, you should see a link called “Compare” that looks like this:
It will be located towards the middle-right of the page, right below the green “Code” button (where you clone the repository):
This should take you to the page where you can compare the changes between “master” + “develop”.
You should also be able to navigate to this page with the following URL:
I’m not sure why the green “Compare & pull request” button you’re referring to is now missing, although I have experienced this myself in my own repositories. Hope this helps.
Nice! @loganbek, by doing what you said I can generate a pull request, but I dont know why the green button disapeared. Maybe its because I use the branch “develop” along the “master”, I dont delet the “develop”, I use it like a “beta branch”, and the “compare & pull request” appears only for first push from a new branch. But its just a gess, not sure!
But thanks for showing other way to generate pull request!
