How can I remove a review request from my PR view?

I was asked to review some code in a repository. I do not have write permissions for this repository, so cannot close the PR. I can ask someone to close this (Which is what I’ll do), but I feel like I should be able to do this myself so it no longer shows in my PR requested review grid.

I do not see any way for me to remove this review request besides filtering.

Is there no way to actually do this myself? If not, I see an exploit here. What if I open a public repository with no write access, and open thousands of review requests for the same person?

Hi @ccs19,

Thanks for this feedback! We’re always working to improve GitHub and the GitHub Community Forum, and we consider every suggestion we receive. I’ve logged your feature request in our internal feature request list.

Though I can’t guarantee anything or share a timeline for this, I can tell you that it’s been shared with the appropriate teams for consideration.

@andreagriffiths11 has there been any change regarding this topic? Is there a way to remove myself from the reviewers list of a PR?

@sbalay you can remove yourself (but not other people) as explained in this reply by noamhacker How to remove a reviewer from a Pull Request - #4 by noamhacker
