Help with Python code in atom

Hi so I was wondering how I would go about executing x = int(input(“Input integer:”)) type commands in atom. I can do it in the direct interpreter but its very primitive.

Also I should mention I’ve been learning python non stop for a week, and basically been hitting a brick wall with stuff like this. Any help or advice on the matter would be much appreciated.

Thank you!

J

Are you looking to create a script, that is a file containing a sequence of commands? If yes, you can write to a file with atom or whatever editor you like, and run it with the interpreter:

python script.py

Naming Python scripts (and module files) something with .py is convention but not strictly required.
