I’m attempting to push something to github but I get failed authentications, either cannot find username and password, or an error that says:
remote: Support for password authentication was removed on August 13, 2021. Please use a personal access token instead.
remote: Please see Token authentication requirements for Git operations | The GitHub Blog for more information.
I am already using Personal Access Tokens and have generated 2 just today because the one I originally used would not work either.
I’ve tried both copy pasting and typing it multiple times, varying case on my login name.
All permissions have been granted on the token, I am not using any APIs just standard github, trying to push, everything is working fine until the push attempt, login is fine, then the remote responses show up.
Anyone experiencing these issues or has a fix?
