Hello folks. Trying to setup/configure a UEFI BIOS boot. Anyone with XP?

Hello all. I’ve been checkin’ out everything here at GitHub for awhile and found out how awesome it’s all put together. To learn and be involved I decided to join due to the knowledgeable people along with the communication and information offered. I’m having an issue with a new (tuh’ me anyway) method for setting up one’s PC. I could certainly use the assistance from anyone that would offer their help or give direction. For quite sometime now I’ve been searching all over the place to find and follow a/the correct procedure (step by step and/or tutorial) to set up a UEFI BIOS boot for my PC. I’d prefer to have my puter run according to my methods rather than another OS controlling the decisions and priorities. I’ve been researching this topic for a thorough answer. From all of the referenced material I searched through, the only info I’ve been able to gather for this procedure are only limited fragments. I don’t wanna’ completely mess up my puter by attempting to run this setup with incomplete information. So configuring this setup with only fragments, just won’t cut it. It seems as though GitHub should be the place that can give me the answer(s) I seek. If this will be any assistance for this situation, my build is of a GIGABYTE Z270X-GAMING K7… LGA 1151 motherboard with an i7-7700K, Seagate ST1000DM010, Corsair H75 Dual-Fan Liquid CPU Cooler, EVGA GTX 1050 Ti, RM 850x, G.SKILL DDR4 16G, and possibly Win 7 Pro to be placed at the bottom of GPT. Again, if anyone can give me assistance with this procedure, it will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi @soltarius,

This post was moved to a different board that fits your topic of discussion a bit better. This means you’ll get better engagement on your post, and it keeps our Community organized so users can more easily find information. As you’ll notice, your Topic is now in the Project Development Help and Advice board. No action is needed on your part; you can continue the conversation as normal here.

Additionally, I wanted to mention that if you don’t get the help you’re looking for from this particular community, you might want to try getting help somewhere that focuses on PC setup and maintenance or UEFI BIOS boot specifically. It’s definitely possible another GitHub user might have run into this same issue and can help, but the GitHub Community Forum focuses primarily on topics related to GitHub, Git, and development projects hosted on GitHub. We want to make sure you’re getting the best support you can, but this forum may not be the right place for this particular topic.

Best of luck!

Thank You for the help.
