GitHub treated my account like a new one

So I was going to GitHub.com like every day, but was greeted with a page where I had to enter a “launch-code” I should’ve received through E-Mail.
No E-mail about that so I was like “Must be the 2FA code I suppose”, but nope, didn’t work. I then made GitHub resend the E-Mail and got the code.

After adding the code was I greeted with a “What do you want to do first?”

In Short: GitHub treated my Account like as if I made it from Scratch. The Account seems fine tho. No real changes found. Only thing I noticed was, that a GitHub Action didn’t run for my Profile Readme (E-Mail was send that it failed and that “No jobs were run”)

So what happened here? Why did GitHub treat my account, that exists since 6 years, like a completely new one?
Was this a hiccup in the Database or some other issue?

I’m just generally confused about this and would like to get some answers on this matter…

Hi @andre601,

First off, I’m sorry to hear about this confusing situation. Your best course of action, in this case, would be to contact support directly and ask that your account be reviewed. We do not handle these queries on the community forum but will make sure to keep an eye out for similar cases.

Best,
