GitHub Pages - What's Next?

I’ve been tasked with creating a documentation page for the PINN project and have completed the first GitHub Pages course where you create a blog.

That’s all well and good, but I don’t want to create a blog. I want to create a documentation site for a large and complex project - like the Raspberry Pi documentation pages.

  1. Where can I find more advanced coursework on GitHub Pages that will teach me about things other than a simple blog?

  2. Where can I find out what external tools are available for me to create content off-line and then submit it to the PINN site’s GitHub Pages project?

  3. There is a relatively large body of documentation that exists on PINN’s GitHub Wiki for that project. Is it possible to import the Wiki data into the documentation project as GitHub Pages?

  4. What else do I need to know to use the GitHub Pages features most effectively and make the site easily navigable and well organized?

Thanks for your help!

Unfortunately we don’t have any advanced courses on GitHub Pages since it would be really hard to predict everyones use case for the feature.

However, you should check out Docsify for what you are trying to accomplish. It can easily be deployed to GitHub Pages and was specifically designed for documentation sites (even their docs use Docsify :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: )
