GitHub ordered list is displayed in roman numbers

Consider the following MD:

Order:

 1. First
 2. Second
 3. Third

The Above markdown is displayed with roman numbers ( i, ii, iii ) instead of arabic numbers ( 1, 2, 3 )

How can this be used with arabic numbers instead of roman numbers ?

Hi dvdvideo1234! :wave:

That list is displayed in Arabic numerals for me! Do you perhaps have some sort of browser extension installed that changes how markdown appears?

If you disable extensions and view the page in an incognito window, what do you see?

@yamiacat

This is displayed like that here, but not in the dedicated readme.md rendered incorrectly.

Ah, I see - the lists showing as Roman numerals in the link you provided are actually sublists. It’s intended that they use different numerals, to make them visually distinct from regular lists.

I’m afraid you won’t be able to have an ordered sublist that uses Arabic numerals, sorry! GitHub’s CSS automatically displays them in Roman numerals.
