GitHub News Feed not loading

This is a similar issue to what has previously been reported, but that post said it required action by the staff.

In place of my GitHub news feed, I get a practically blank screen.

When I click the “subscribe” link, I get the following code in place of an actual webpage:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<feed xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2005/Atom" xmlns:media="http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/" xml:lang="en-US">
  <id>tag:github.com,2008:/chinmay314</id>
  <link type="text/html" rel="alternate" href="https://github.com/chinmay314"/>
  <link type="application/atom+xml" rel="self" href="https://github.com/chinmay314.private.atom?token=APKXOJ3WYD2ATFPAFNEXNJN6QYPIC"/>
  <title>Private Feed for chinmay314</title>
  <updated>2020-04-25T11:44:23-04:00</updated>
</feed>

What is going on?

Hi @chinmay314 :wave:

The feed shows you events from users you follow and repositories that you watch. It will also show recent activity for Pull Requests and Issues you are working on.

Based on your profile, it does not appear that you are following anyone just yet.
Your starred repositories appear to have no recent activity with the exception of one as of today. I would expect something on your feed now.

If you still have an empty feed, please send another screenshot that includes the sidebar.

Finally, the “subscribe” button is consistent with how RSS feeds work. This is written in XML, which is the standard for RSS. You can use that document to submit to an RSS directory or add it to your personal website so other users can subscribe to it.
