Github keep adding commits to my PR

Please check I

I created a fork, created a branch from jbr-dev, put my changes to that branch and now I want to merge my changes back to jbr-dev of the upstream.

But github says that my fork is 477 commits ahead of the upstream and add all these commits to my pr (and keep adding more commits).

Is there any workarounds to this github bug?

It looks like somebody force-pushed into the upstream jbr-dev branch, rebasing many commits, which are now duplicated in your branch (but with different commit hashes). Iā€™d create a new branch off the tip of jbr-dev and cherry-pick your changes into that branch, then open a new PR.
