GitHub Explore repo suggestions are creating a feedback loop of projects that don't interest me

Each day, I check the “explore” tab, and many of the suggestions say they’re “based on repositories I’ve viewed.” A few days ago, a couple of them were midi sequencers and the like, which isn’t remotely my area. However, there wasn’t enough info visible on the Explore tab, so I’d have to open them, which I’m assuming added them to the list of “repositories I’ve viewed.”

Hence, even though I’m only viewing those repositories to find out what they are, I’m now seeing more and more midi-related projects and few projects that aren’t midi-related. This seems to have become a cycle. Is there a “not interested” button I’m missing? If not, there oughta be.

Hi @chancencounter,

Thanks for this feedback! We’re always working to improve GitHub and the GitHub Community Forum, and we consider every suggestion we receive. I’ve logged your feature request in our internal feature request list. Though I can’t guarantee anything or share a timeline for this, I can tell you that it’s been shared with the appropriate teams for consideration.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Cheers!

Hi

this new “explore” page sucks, please restore the old one with more content and less facebook/yammer like “posts” (or at least give the user a possibility to change amount of post visible - I’d like to see more projects in explore page).
