GitHub "Environment" reference in later step

Hey folks,

We are starting to use the beta feature for “Environments” and “Environment Secrets”

For example, we are creating a job that identifies the environment,

    # Set GitHub Env
    environment: dev
    runs-on: ubuntu-latest

Later in this job, we want to reference the value of “environment” e.g. “dev”

summary: project-name-${{ env.ENVIRONMENT }}

The above would work if we set the environment via the below – but we want to leverage the existing “environment” value

I don’t see any documentation about referencing these, only referencing env: variables…

Does this feature exist? any thoughts?

I checked all contexts and environment variables, but this information is apparently not available.
