Github Desktop

Hi,

Not sure where to ask a question in regards to ‘Github Desktop’ so I ended up here, please move question if needed. So my question is this:

When I use github desktop (which is an awesome application) i have a problem where if I create a second branch of my project (something like “dev”) the application always shows me a blue-ish window with “Create a Pull Request from your current branch” even though it was just created and have no code difference from the master branch? If I click it there are no changes to compare:

Hi @brujah,

Welcome to the Github Community Forum!

This not an issue, the github desktop application follow the github workflow and every new branch need to have a pull request. If the branch is empty is the pull request simply cannot be create. I don’t think this is a problem, maybe staff can make some more clarifications.
