I quite like github.com /notifications. For issues they’re just about perfect, since issues can only be a linear progression.
However, PRs contain “conversations”, which may or may not be marked as resolved, and are always sorted by the first comment’s date, not the date of the last comment in the conversation. Therefore, /notifications might tell me there are 9 updates, but when I click the link to go to the PR, I have no idea what those 9 updates are, especially if they’re in conversations hidden behind a “load more” link, or are in a conversation marked as resolved.
Maybe I’m just a control freak, but this is extremely frustrating to me, and make /notifications significantly less useful. I feel like email notifications are too spammy, but it’s the superior choice for me compared to the current /notifications feature. If /notifications could be improved to help me find the actual changes since I last viewed the PR, then I can reduce my email notifications.
