GitHub as a solution for a public repository of commercial released binary files?

Hello,

I’m looking for a repository published on the web, to upload and thus publish only binary releases with tags (i.e. commercial releases; no publication of source code associated) that can be accessed with the Linux downloading tool wget. GitHub does the trick: the baseURL is constant and followed by logical (ordered) paths to be queried, like this example:
https://github.com/abc/xyz/releases/download/1/foo_0.0.0.0_amd64.deb
https://github.com/abc/xyz/releases/download/2/foo_0.0.0.1_amd64.deb

So, my question is: for commercial binaries releases, is it possible \ allowed with GitHub?

Regards.

Possible? Yes, every file in a repository can be accessed with a specific URL
Allowed? It depends on the expected traffic. It’s not the usual use case, but to be sure, you can use the GitHub contact form and get an official statement: GitHub Support
