GitHub actions runner doesn’t pick up the new workflows

I was working on a workflow today and everything was working fine until, suddenly after a simple change to the workflow file, the workflow gets stuck on the message “Waiting for a runner to pick up this job…” and it never actually gets picked up.
I have tried to cancel and run the workflow several times but it never starts running. I even left one run for 2 and a half hours and it never got picked up.
I then tried with other repositories and all the already existing workflow files run normally, but as soon as the smallest change is committed for the file, regardless of which repository it is, I get the same problem and the workflow never gets picked up.
The workflow run minutes in our company are far from running out too.
I have already created an issue in the support also but no one has answered me for over 10 hours now.

Hmm, are you using a self-hosted runner or a GitHub-hosted runner? If it’s a GitHub hosted one, I have no clue, but if it’s a self hosted one (or you used to have a self-hosted one but forgot to change the workflow), that could make some sense.

No @osfanbuff63 we have never had a self-hosted runner. It’s GitHub’s runners that are not working.
It doesn’t make sense to me either. And the GitHub support hasn’t responded since 20 hours ago when I opened the issue ticket.
We are stuck and don’t know what to do.
