**While Ukraine is under missile attacks GitHub could be used by Russians to develop apps and platforms aiming to destabilize Ukrainian web resources. **
**Please, prevent these actions and don’t stay on the same side with invaders! All information about war can be found at: war.ukraine.ua
We urge you to close GitHub for Russia and its developers! We value your support and we are in need for your actions!
@MakselPr I bet, just a few minutes and a moderator will come up to this thread and close it saying something about caring for “open data flow and collaboration across nations” and that “they are concerned by actions of Russian government but their people are not guilty”.
That is manipulation.
More than 3/4 of Russians support this war.
GitHub must ban Russia! You will not make us shut up!
GitHub, don’t ignore us! Is it worth it to maintain your services for the country who constantly shelling innocent civilians? They’re even attacking nuclear power plants, they carry danger for ALL world!!! Together we sure can decrease the number of casualties, revise your decision!
I am scientist and I never get involved in politics. But today my Russian friend who is a professor in the USA sent me a video from Fox News about Biolabs in Ukraine sponsored by Pentagon… All I can say is next: if well-educated Russians in USA choose to spread this kind of information during the time when the Russian army is killing innocent civilians in Ukraine, Putin’s propaganda is really working and I think that only strict measures can stop this. HELP US TO GET RID OF PUTIN NOW and CLOSE GITHUB for Russia and its developers!
During the shelling by the Russian occupiers of Mariupol, more than 1,000 civilians were killed. The bodies of the dead are buried in a mass grave on the outskirts of Mariupol. Due to the constant shelling by the Russian enemy, it is impossible to do otherwise.
Please help to save thousands of innocent people of Ukraine!
GitHub’s vision is to be the home for all developers, no matter where they reside. We take our obligations with respect to government mandates seriously, which includes complying with stringent new export controls aimed at severely restricting Russia’s access to technologies and other items needed to sustain its aggressive military capabilities.
We also take seriously our responsibility to examine government mandates thoroughly to be certain that users and customers are not impacted beyond the scope of the mandates. This includes protecting open collaboration and the free flow of information in our interconnected community to support communications, humanitarian work, and organizing for change.
