Git authorization

git push no longer works,
first of all my local gitconfig --global no longer works, I have to enter username then password.
after that on a small commit git push fails:
" Enumerating objects: 13, done.
Counting objects: 100% (13/13), done.
Delta compression using up to 12 threads
Compressing objects: 100% (8/8), done.
Writing objects: 100% (8/8), 88.27 KiB | 5.19 MiB/s, done.
Total 8 (delta 6), reused 0 (delta 0)
error: RPC failed; curl 92 HTTP/2 stream 0 was not closed cleanly: CANCEL (err 8)
fatal: the remote end hung up unexpectedly
fatal: the remote end hung up unexpectedly
Everything up-to-date "
What happened to github? I’ve tried on 3 different repositories all with the same effect…

This seems a problem with the remote procedure call via cURL (used by Git), not a problem with authorizations. Why the “the remote end hung up unexpectedly” is something you need to look into.

If you’re connecting via HTTP, beware that GitHub no longer allows Git operations via your GitHub password, you need to create and use a PAT (Private Access Token) instead (the issue has been discussed multiple times here, just do a quick search in the forum). This change was introduced a few months ago.
