GH CLI HTTP 401, endpoint requires me to be authed

I’m trying to setup GH CLI. I got it to work just fine for my personal GitHub. I can login to my school’s Enterprise server as well, except if I try to create a repo from the CLI I get this:

HTTP 401: This endpoint requires you to be authenticated. (https://api.github.com/graphql)
hint: try authenticating with gh auth login

Is this server end or my end kind of problem? I don’t get this problem just from a GitHub repo.

Hi @c0dezer019

Could you please list all the steps/commands taken to get to this point?

I’m getting this error as well. I have gh installed using Linuxbrew and am trying to use it with our enterprise GitHub server. I authenticated no problem, but get this error when I try to clone a repo:

❯ gh repo clone ORG/repo
HTTP 401: This endpoint requires you to be authenticated. (https://api.github.com/graphql)
hint: try authenticating with `gh auth login`
