have two computers, a very cheap one
purchased years ago, and a nice newer one
obtained as a hand-me-down. have been using
gcc & gdb on the older one for some years.
have repeatedly installed them on the
newer one and gcc runs fine, but gdb cannot
find vcruntime140.dll so will not load. gdb does not
tell me where it was looking.
There are many versions of vcruntime140.dll
on the system, and my guess is that it gets
created as needed normally, but have no
idea what creates it or what it does or why
it doesn’t get created when or before gdb needs it.
any suggestions appreciated.
