Hi. I’m working on a project and stumbled upon an idea. Let’s say I have an LED connected to a NodeMCU. I’ve linked my project to my Firebase Database. When I set a node, say “LED” in the Firebase to 1, I want my LED connected to the NodeMCU to glow. Is it possible? I want to avoid checking for a value change in Firebase frequently. Instead, if my IOT device is informed of the change in data automatically wouldn’t that be better?
This post was moved to a different board that fits your topic of discussion a bit better. This means you’ll get better engagement on your post, and it keeps our Community organized so users can more easily find information.
As you’ll notice, your Topic is now here in the Project Development Help and Advice board. No action is needed on your part; you can continue the conversation as normal here.
Okay, cool. But still it’s a bit disappointing not to get any replies
If you don’t get the help you’re looking for from this particular community, you might want to try getting help somewhere that focuses on Firebase. It’s definitely possible another GitHub user might have run into this same issue and can help, but the GitHub Community Forum focuses primarily on topics related to GitHub itself or collaboration on project development and ideas. We want to make sure you’re getting the best support you can, but this forum may not be the right place for this particular topic. The link above goes to a support page for Firebase, and if you see Step 2, there are actually a few different communities devoted to Firebase that might be better for this kind of question.
Best of luck!
