My company uses GitHub Enterprise and I am on a list of code reviewers/approvers for a certain repos. This means when someone opens a PR, I get assigned as a reviewer of the PR automatically. Many people in our organization don’t understand how that works so they then also select me as a reviewer for their PR. This means I get two emails requesting me to review the PR – I get enough emails already. Can you make so if you are already auto-assigned to review a PR that you either A) don’t get a second email or B) cannot be assigned individually to that PR (i.e. show an error “this person is already a reviewer on this PR, they cannot be added twice”)?
Thanks for this feedback! We’re always working to improve GitHub and the GitHub Community Forum, and we consider every suggestion we receive. I’ve logged your feature request in our internal feature request list. Though I can’t guarantee anything or share a timeline for this, I can tell you that it’s been shared with the appropriate teams for consideration.
