Feature Request: Add Pull Requests draft status on Webhook events

Hello guys,

I really like the Draft Pull Request feature so far. It adds a safety step to avoid merging unfinished content.

Thus, I think it would be great to be able to distinguish when a PR is a draft or not, from a webhook event.

Why ? A simple example:

If used for CI builds, that would avoid launching builds that might not  compile. Even if it did, because we know we’ll have to push more commits later, why bother building an unfinished PR ?

Best regards,

Thierry LEE

Hi @thierrylee ,

Thanks for this feedback! We’re always working to improve GitHub and the GitHub Community Forum, and we consider every suggestion we receive. I’ve logged your feature request in our internal feature request list. Though I can’t guarantee anything or share a timeline for this, I can tell you that it’s been shared with the appropriate teams for consideration.

Cheers!

How do we use this? I cant see it when I create a PR.

We have a paid for organization account yet I see no option for draft when I create a PR…
