I am looking to trigger a workflow on pull_request when I add or remove a milestone. Is this already possible? If not, would love to see it added.
Pull requests are just extended issues. I guess it is already possible: https://help.github.com/en/github/automating-your-workflow-with-github-actions/events-that-trigger-workflows#issues-event-issues
on: issues: types: [milestoned]
I gave this a shot and it didn’t work. Issues also has different metadata than pull_request so it wouldn’t of worked for what I am doing.
Hey @spenrose, You are correct
milestoned is not an activity type under the pull_request event as of now. I’ll be sure to pass this feedback along to the team.
Hey @andreagriffiths11 ,
is there any other way to trigger actions on pull request milestone changes?
Digging out this old thread, as it would be great to have this functionality.
Are there any known workarounds?
Jumping on here to show interest in a milestoned and demilestoned events for pull_requests, please and thank you.
Same here milestoned and demilestoned events for pull_requests would be great!
I was shocked this is not a thing. Please make it a thing.
I’m interested in this feature as well. Surprised that you can do it for issues but not for pull requests.
This would also be very useful for me, would be interested if anyone’s come up with some workarounds.
I’m interested in this feature as well. It’s sad it hasn’t been implemented.
