extremely slow mouse for art-performance (non profit event)

Looking for a solution to have several meters (like 6m or so) of mouse X-movement (sideways), represent only the width of a computer screen. Basically want to use a bluetooth mouse and slide it across a stage, having to slide it all these meters to move it only one screen-width (computer will be connected to video proj. of a cinema screen). Was thinking there could be a way to hack the mouse settings, so that these extreme values could be entered.

Note that i’m an artist and don’t have any coding skills whatsoever so coding advice need to be super pedagogic with all steps from scratch  If there’s a solution too complicated to explain to someone without coding skills, please post it anyway - and i could try to find someone help me write it.
