*****this is resolved now ****
i have installed the driver successfully, restarted mac, however, i am not able to find new tty.
as per readme file there should be new device similar to tty.wchusbserial*
After the installation is completed, you will find serial device in the device list(/dev/tty.wchusbserial*), and you can access it with serial tools.
If you can’t find the serial port , you can follow the steps below:
- Open terminal and type ‘ls /dev/tty*’ and then you will see devices like tty.wchusbserial;
- Open ‘System Report’->Hardware->USB, the right side is “USB Device Tree” there will
be device named “Vendor-Specific Device” and check if the Current is normal.
my mac book shows below
nagars-MacBook-Pro:dev nagar$ ls -lrt tty.*
crw-rw-rw- 1 root wheel 21, 2 1 Jul 09:40 tty.SOC
crw-rw-rw- 1 root wheel 21, 0 1 Jul 09:40 tty.MALS
crw-rw-rw- 1 root wheel 21, 4 1 Jul 09:40 tty.Bluetooth-Incoming-Port
Since I am not getting any success with Part 1 / WIFI, i am doubting incomplete installation of driver.
