Deployed/not yet deployed status

Is there any way to mark a commit, branch or pull request as deployed using GitHub API? By a tooltip, a checkmark (similar to CI) or something? https://developer.github.com/v3/repos/deployments/ https://developer.github.com/v3/repos/statuses/ I’ve tried to set the tooltip (API “description” field) of a commit to some string, it didn’t work, and the old tooltip (“Success! Your tests passed on CircleCI!”) when hovering over the green checkmark disappeared :))

Hi @rihadik,

This post was moved to a different board that fits your topic of discussion a bit better. This means you’ll get better engagement on your post, and it keeps our Community organized so users can more easily find information.

As you’ll notice, your Topic is now in the How to use Git and GitHub board. No action is needed on your part; you can continue the conversation as normal here.

Let me know if you have any other questions or if I can help with anything else.

Cheers!

You can create a deployment using the GitHub API pointing to any ref (tag, SHA, or branch). Once the deployment record is created, you can create a deployment status using the API as well.

I hope that helps!
