CVS modules alternate for GIT

  Hello all

I just converted big repository from CVS to GIT and I have one issue  , actually not issue but in CVS we are using modules where storring local directory (projects list)  for example module A means B C D E where B C D E could be just folder in CVS or another module.  Could you help me to understand if such functionality exists in GIT ?

best regards, Levon

Hi @levharout,

Thank you for being here! I believe what you are looking for is Git Submodules, Submodules allow you to keep a Git repository as a subdirectory of another Git repository. This lets you clone another repository into your project and keep your commits separate. To learn more about Submodules, check out: https://git-scm.com/book/en/v2/Git-Tools-Submodules.

I hope this helps,

Andrea
