Create a GitHub App owned by an organisation #24340
-
I can create apps from the Developer settings on my personal account but I would rather the author of the application that appears in the marketplace to be linked to an organisation I’ve setup. When looking at the organisation settings I could only find a way to create an OAuth App but not a GitHub App. Is this possible or do I need to instead create a new GitHub user account with the same name of my app, is that what these example apps are doing? github.comInstabug - GitHub MarketplaceInstabug is a reliable bug reporting and user feedback SDK that enables testers & users to report issues from within the app DeepScan - GitHub MarketplaceAdvanced static analysis for automatically finding runtime errors in JavaScript code |

Managed to find it by fluke, I transferred the app from my personal account to organisation which went smoothly and thats when I noticed the Developer Settings menu item shows the two options after clicking it (I never noticed it before because it goes offscreen when navigating to this page, it looked like I could only create OAuth Apps) |
