In my use-case, I use a workflow_trigger to manually run a workflow based on an input of the form <path/to.filename.ext> (path within the repo)
The build then produces an output called <path/to/filename.output>. Currently there’s no way to use context and expression syntax to represent this. Adding a “replace” function that takes regex find/replace syntax would allow powerful functionality for this and other use-cases like this one.
It would also allow for cases where a parameter needs to be stripped of a path or extension, etc. which isn’t currently possible at all when being passed directly to an action (not in a run block where can use the shell for all kinds of fun stuff).
Github Actions is awesome, keep up the great work!
