Connection timeout when downloading released artifacts

I have troubles with downloading jemalloc release artifact from this url: It is redirected to AWS domain and connection to that host times out most of the time. It seems that specific Amazon nodes are problematic. When domain is resolved to IP addresses or, it works fine, but when this domain is resolved, or it is not possible to connect there.

curl --connect-timeout 120 --retry 0 -v -o jemalloc-5.2.0.tar.bz2  -L
* Connected to ( port 443 (#0)
< server:
< status: 302 Found
< location:
* Connection #0 to host left intact
* Issue another request to this URL: ''
*   Trying
* Closing connection 1
curl: (28) Connection timed out after 120000 milliseconds

My IP address is but situation is the same from various IP addresses in Czech Republic. So I believe that it is issue on Amazon side. Is there something that GitHub may do about that?

We are seeing the same issues in Germany when downloading artifacts from Github. The URL is the same,

Out of 5 connection attempts, 3 of them fail with connection timed out.

It doesn’t seem to happen with all providers in Germany. We have been in contact with our ISP but they confirmed there is no issue on their side.

Ping is stable however, only the https endpoints fails to connect.

If you have IPv6 connectivty, try the dualstack s3 endpoint.
