I work with 2 repositories in 2 different organizations. I am an Owner on both repositories. When I push a branch to one repository, the commit comments appear on the GitHub page used to create a pull request from the pushed branch. In the other, they do not. Does anyone know the setting that controls this? I’d like to make the commit comments copy up to Github with the branch.
If you mean the title of the Pull Request, GitHub has slightly different behavior depending on whether the branch contains only one commit or multiple commits. When you have only one commit:
The title of the pull request is the first line of the single commit’s comment. When you have multiple commits:
The title of the pull request is based off of the name of the branch. There are no settings to control this. This is just the way that GitHub behaves.
