Comments before publishing pull request

I wasn’t sure where to post feature request so sorry if this is in the wrong place

It would be helpful if we were able to submit comments in a PR before publishing so we can offer extra information in context.

This would be useful for large PRs that require extra information in the right place. It would save time as it avoids someone starting back review before the author of the PR has put this information.

Hi,

Thanks for this feedback! We’re always working to improve GitHub and the GitHub Community Forum, and we consider every suggestion we receive. I’ve logged your feature request in our internal feature request list. Though I can’t guarantee anything or share a timeline for this, I can tell you that it’s been shared with the appropriate teams for consideration.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Cheers!

You can put all information you need in the PR description - why is that not sufficient for your use case?

Ah, you mean like providing comments about specific lines of code? Good catch - I hadn’t thought about that.
