Can't use ${{ ... }} in description of an input in action.yaml

It’s not possible to use ${{ ... }} in the description of an input in action.yaml.

I had the following snippet in my action.yaml:

inputs:
  # ...
  job-status:
description: The job status, must always be ${{ job.status }}.
    required: true
  # ...

But when I ran the action, I got the following error:

##[debug]Starting: Buildevents

I tried placing the description within quotes, but this didn’t change anything.

This if unfortunate because the description in action.yaml is shown in workflow editor. I’d like to be able to describe exactly how the user should use my input.
