I am trying to move all the issues from one repository to another one, which I have ascertained needs to be done one by one. Following the instructions here: Transferring an issue to another repository - GitHub Docs
I have been trying to move an issue to a different repository, also owned by me, and when I type in the name of that repository it says “No Expansions Match” and if I click enter after searching, I get the “Oops, something went wrong” page.
There’s no drop down menu showing my existing repositories and it won’t find my repository either by name or link. Am I doing something wrong?
Hi @noeinan , welcome to the community
Here is what I was able to do, if that helps in any way
- I tried on a ‘private’ visibility repository owned by my personal user account just now and also found no entries in my drop down list
- I tried on a ‘public’ visibility repository owned by my personal user account just now and the list showed other repositories on my account, and and I was able to transfer to one of them
- trying again on the issue that had been transferred to a ‘private’ repository, gave no selection, and yes I get an oops if you try entering a name manually and pressing enter, so only a selection is valid to press enter on, the search field entry I suspect is only for filtering the selections listed.
- On a ‘private’ visibility repository owned by an organization other ‘private’ repositories within that organization showed in the drop down list for selection.
Aha, that fixed it, thank you!
