I have an old account (other than this account) that is linked to an email address that no longer exist. I wanted to erase the older account but cannot login because of the email verification. I have the username and password and removed all of the files through the git command line but I cannot remove the projects name and not the pull requests as well. I contacted Github via email and after a very long time they came back to me and told me that they cannot erase it because they cannot identify me. I live in California where the privacy laws give you the right to be forgotten starting in 2020, is there any way to erase the account by somehow identify myself in a different way?
Thanks for reaching out! If you haven’t already, please contact us at https://github.com/contact with the info so we can look into that further. We can’t discuss specific account details here.
