Bug?

Hello fellow GitHubbers,

I believe that I have found an odd bug with GitHub pages, and I would love a second eye here.

The bug is on https://cakebot.club/contributors.html - you can see the name of all contributors, however the avatars (provided by Ben Balter’s Jekyll-Avatar plugin) are all the same, not dynamic.

Here is my code:

name,github
jumbo,RDIL
Tarsh,121jwang
Param,paramt

(contributors.csv in /_data)

and the Markdown file that is translated by Jekyll:

---
title: Contributors
layout: default
---

Cakebot would not be possible without the help, time, and dedication of the following people:

{% for contributor in site.data.contributors %}
  * {% avatar {{ contributor.github }} %} {{ contributor.name }} - @{{ contributor.github }}
{% endfor %}

Is this just me, or a bug?

(and yes, the Jekyll-Avatar plugin is in the plugins field in my configuration)

Thank you all!

I believe that this:

* {% avatar {{ contributor.github }} %} {{ contributor.name }} - @{{ contributor.github }}

needs to be:

* {% avatar contributor.github %} {{ contributor.name }} - @{{ contributor.github }}

The first ‘contributor.github’ is inside a Jekyll logic statement and shouldn’t need the double-curly-braces.

Thank you for your response.  I will try it out now.

now the avatars are just rendering as generic octocat mascots.
