BUG: commits with dates from the future clog up search results

This commit https://github.com/WyoMurf/SaySentence/commit/b7f92e12ca6237bd095d13a83621835e20d4fee3 has author and committer dates set to “2059-12-16T16:52:46.000-07:00”.

Running a query like
curl -H “Accept: application/vnd.github.cloak-preview” https://api.github.com/search/commits?q=language:C%23+sort:author-date

always returns that and some other future-dated commits at the top, clogging up the results.

Given that only 100 results are returned, it wouldn’t take much to render that particular API useless.

 @rimutaka: thanks for sharing that observation. Would you mind submitting this through our official product feedback form so that our product team can track this? That’s the best place to share requests like these in consideration for future iterations of GitHub features (like the Search API for commits). If it helps, we suggest checking out our GitHub public roadmap for upcoming features in addition to The GitHub Blog for new feature announcements.
