Brew update failing on macOS runner - GitHub infrastructure down?

I have a GitHub Action on macOS, that attempts a brew update as the first command. It had been working fine, but yesterday I noticed that the brew update is failing because the upstream origin/master is not defined. See details below.

Where can I report this, as user of a free account?

  brew update
  brew install bash
  brew install pkg-config
  shell: /bin/bash -e {0}

Seems like a GitHub infrastructure outage, but I don’t see any indications at https://www.githubstatus.com.

And I can’t find a way to report it except to post here. Any suggestions?

Same error with macos-latest, macos-10.15 and macos-11.0.

Seems like the Homebrew installation on the macOS runners is broken.

Anyone else able to confirm or deny this?

FYI, this has now been submitted to the issue tracker here.

Hope that’s the right place.

I am facing the same issue after upgrading my mac OS to 10.15.7
