Authentification failed but possible issues do not match

I was trying to push origin when suddenly I can’t. I have no clue why
since none of the suggested problems match, i do not have 2fa
, I still have my permissions on the repository and I am also
logged in. Help

 Welcome!

How long has it been since you used git from that setup? Password authentication was deprecated in December.

Hello, thank you for the reply! As I am checking my last commit, that was on the 24th of march.

Please check how you are trying to authenticate - if you are trying to push from the command line, you would need to use either a personal access token (https) or an SSH key.

If you have completed the setup for one of those options and it’s still not working, please let us know which you’re using and what error message you’re seeing.

I don’t use a command line, I use github desktop. Or did I misunderstand what you’re saying ?

Could you share more about the error you’re seeing? What happens exactly? If there are words, please quote them here.

If you could upload the log file from GitHub Desktop that should give some more information about the error.

To access the log files go to the file menu in GitHub Desktop and select Help > Show Logs.
The log files are created daily – please upload a log file as an attachment from a day where you experienced the issue.
