Artifact storage quota has been hit on repo with 0 artifacts

Today my build action stopped working :frowning:. It was the error below. After deleting some artifacts manually, I added an action that deleted all of the artifacts for me. My repository now has 0 artifacts, same error. I tried getting purging some of my other repos artifacts but it didn’t help. Why am I still getting this error? Does it take time for the storage quota to realize you have deleted some artifacts?

With the provided path, there will be 5 files uploaded

An hour later and it ran fine. Must take some time…

How did u removed all artifacts from action ? Can you give the sample fo it over here

You can delete them manually over the web GUI, or using the API. See the documentation:

Note that you can adjust how long artifacts are stored (the “retention period”), reducing it might help avoid too many artifacts piling up in the future. The first linked article also has references for that.

@mscoutermarsh I have deleted all atrifacts before 2 day and i am getting count as 0 as well. but Still i am getting error of Create Artifact Container failed: Artifact storage quota has been hit. Unable to upload any new artifacts
How can i check how much storage has been hit and how to sync after deleteing as its more than 24 hours now.

Currently Aritfacts as per API { “total_count”: 0, “artifacts”: }

Same here , I deleted all the artifacts manually , but still getting the same error though artifacts API results total count 0.

i ran into this same issue. i later found out that i had reached a limit on my “storage for actions and packages” on my free github plan. see Viewing your GitHub Actions usage - GitHub Docs
