API Rate limit exceeded when request made to Github Actions

Hello,

I’m making a rest api call to github action in my repository(repository_dispatch event), but recently observed that the request is getting failed and response I’m getting is

‘response status code’ 403,
message: API rate limit exceeded for the user ID XXXXXXX

And when made an attempt to check the rate limit for the token that I’ve it is showing limit is 5000 and used is 5000, remaining 0.

Is there any way to reset the limit every time before the proceed to make a api call?

No, you can’t reset the limit like that. You can check to see when a rate limit will reset by looking at X-RateLimit-Reset and then only performing an action after it would have reset.
