I’m building an application that uses github /events data for an github enterprise server.
I’m getting two different responses back depending on which authorization method I’m using:
GET https://github.itu.dk/api/v3/users/USERNAME/events/ Authorization: Bearer PERSONAL-ACCESS-TOKEN
This returns a list of events which is what I want. Succes!
But the same call using OAUTH gives me an empty array back
GET https://github.itu.dk/api/v3/users/USERNAME/events/ Authorization: Bearer OAUTH-ACCESS-TOKEN
Using the OAUTH I’m able to retrieve login information about the user, just not anything from the /events API call. I have also tried this with Github apps, but that doesn’t work because, understandably.
I have a sinking feeling that the OAUTH does not allow me to see the (public) events of an authenticated user. Could it be that I’m not setting scopes right?
