Adding files with Git Desktop on local repo

with GitHub Desktop and on GitHub, I create a repository and add two files, no problem.

I then clone it my PC, again no problem.

Now with GitHub Desktop I want to add two new files on my local repo–how do I do that?

Hi Dan, you can simply create the files in the local repository, then run the command git add . to allow git to track the files. You will then need to commit them as usual. The GitHub Docs have a more in-depth article regarding adding a file via the command line. Hope this helps.
