GitHub is just like a social networking site with followers. But it is not that encouraging to follow others because it is really difficult to know whether they follow you back. The tendency is to unfollow everyone that you are following and go to your followers and follow them manually. This will be problematic if we are talking about more than a thousand followers.
So please include a user label telling us that the user follows us, so we can decide whether we will follow them or not, just like Twitter. With this, I think others will be responsible too, of course, it is still their decision in the end, but having this feature, I think, would have a great impact because without the label, it’s too impersonal, right?
Hoping that this will be added ASAP. Thanks.
