I know that Action Runners don’t currently support unattended setup, but I’d like to add to the chorus that’s requesting that feature. It is a bit odd that we can install a full Visual Studio build chain for a game engine on a Windows machine with Ansible, but we can’t provision a linux box with something is simple as an Action Runner.
- The access token should be static and changeable like personal access tokens. Let us manage them ourselves.
- We should be able to rerun the runner install script without it hard-failing due it already being installed.
- uninstalling an action requires a remove token, this is unnecessary.
Thanks - actions are great, being able to run private runners even better, but the implementation needs some more time in the oven, especially the automation side.
