Account suspension

I recently had my primary account suspended because I deleted and recreated it several times during an extended period of time. To my knowledge, this activity is not in violation of GitHub’s terms of service, and I do not think my account should have been suspended. I believe my account may have been mistaken for a bot/unusual activity and suspended, even though I am real and have every intention of actively using my account.

Yes, I am fully aware of GitHub’s private support. They seemed to have no desire to actually help me with this issue; they told me the account would remain suspended and that they would not hear my side or reconsider it.

I am very disappointed with GitHub’s support staff and hope to resolve this however I can.

Can’t help you, but good luck!

Hi @nreaderly,

Thanks for being here. This question is already answered in another thread here. I’d recommend checking there for your answer. In an effort to keep the Community Forum organized and make it easier for other users to find information, we ask that users continue the conversation in existing threads, instead of opening new ones about the same topic. For this reason, I’ll be closing this topic, and you can continue the conversation in the original thread, if you’d like.

I know you mentioned you’re already aware, but you will need to work with private support for help with this. We can’t discuss or help with specific account details, including account status, in the public forum.
